Job Description Building Maintenance: Electrician position provides electrical and HVAC services to all school department buildings, specifically identifying repair and/or replacement needs and installing and/or upgrading electrical systems. The individual(s) shall be in compliance with accessibility and safety codes/regulations. This position reports directly to the Director of Facilities in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Facilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems. Troubleshoots and diagnoses failures in electrical/HVAC systems to identify repair and/or replacement needs. Responsible for installing and repairing emergency lighting, exit signage, wiring, controls, and lighting systems.
