Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION : This position directs, plans, supervises, assigns, reviews and participates in the work of the School Resource Officer and is responsible for Zones/Beats to ensure high visibility police presence on school property; responsible to prevent and respond to crimes against district property, students and personnel. This position is also responsible for the supervision of school crossing guards across the district; coordinating safe routes to school for walking students in collaboration with City/County engineers and local law enforcement; responsible for interviewing, selection, training and retention of workforce. This position may have responsibilities for a focused area and may be assigned to any shift as needed.
