Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities 1. Use sign language communication to present and clarify information for students in all activities where communication support is needed. 2. Assist the D/HH student to function successfully in mainstream classrooms. 3. Communicate oral language to each deaf student by using sign language and explain what the student may not understand. 4. Stay updated with academic vocabulary needed for each day of instruction in Signed Exact English and ASL. 5. Attend and interpret at ARD committee meetings as needed. 6.
