Job Description The Amherst Public School District is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Guidance Counselor at Amethyst Brook Elementary School. Amethyst Brook will be opening in the Fall of 2026 with approximately 550 students in grades K-5. This is a full-time, school-year position. Our school has a robust inclusion-based model. Our school is home to the district's dual language program teaching students in English & Spanish (Caminantes), so bilingual and multicultural or bicultural applicants are preferred. We are committed to hiring to match our demographic, which is currently 56% of students of color. Amethyst Brook houses three distinct district-specialized programs to meet the needs of the district's neurodiverse student population for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Emotional Disabilities.
