Job Description Description of Position: LHS School Counselor (7th- 12th Grade) Qualifications for position: Valid Ohio School Counselor Licensure Preferred Qualifications: •Previous experience as a school counselor and/or teacher •Experience and knowledge in the following areas: oStudent Information oProgress Book oVirtual Learning oMaster Scheduling oCCP oLocal, State and Federal Laws oMandated Reporting Duties: 1. Provide academic, social, and mental health support. 2. Assist students with course planning and goal setting. 3. Assist students with post-secondary options (college, work, military). 4. Collaborate with teachers, parents and administrators to support students. 5. Act as an advocate for student success. 6. Conduct one-on-one or small group meetings for specific concerns. 7.
