Job Description We have an opening for a Special Education Teacher to co-teach 5th grade English/Language Arts for the upcoming school year. New employees are expected to attend New Teacher Orientation on August 13th & 14th, and the week of staff professional development beginning August 17th. First day of school for students is August 24, 2026. An SLCS teacher is responsible for planning, instruction, activities and assessments based on the SLCS curriculum. Teachers are tasked with creating an integrated instructional program that supports an inclusion-based learning approach fostering a safe environment that respects academic and cultural diversity.
