JOB SUMMARY Assists the principal in the management of student behavior. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Helps develop, implement and maintain a school-wide discipline plan. Provides staff development to staff members on effective classroom management/behavior intervention strategies. Provides training on behavior management to parents and students. Observes students in their classrooms and other activities to gain a better understanding of the students and their behavior. Counsels students individually or in small groups on positive behavior techniques. Consults with school staff members to develop appropriate behavior intervention plans for individual students.
