Job Description Job Summary Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures. Reads work orders or receives instruction from supervisor and/or crew leader. **Current shift: 2:00 pm- 10:30pm. Summer hours 4-10 hour days; 6:00 am- 4:30 pm. Essential Duties 1. Prepares, cleans and paints surface of walls, floors, ceiling and furniture; mix material used as paints, stains, varnishes, enamels and lacquers to match specified colors. 2. Spreads drop cloths over floor and room furnishing, and covers surfaces, such as base boards, door frames and windows with masking tape to protect surface during painting. 3.
