Behavior Interventionists focus mainly on behavioral support and specialized instruction, in-order to increase a student's ability to access their education. Positions are full-time (39hrs), year-round and all located within the public schools of Addison County. Services outside the school calendar-year focus on community outings, and providing an enriched environment for students when not in school. Job Description Under the direction of the Mental Health and Disabilities Coordinator, the Behavioral Interventionist provides behavioral support, intervention and case management to clients in order to facilitate their positive adjustment to the classroom expectations, and to strengthen the connection between home, school and the community. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Collect and document information necessary to perform Functional Behavior Assessments on students with complex behavioral challenges. Develop positive behavior intervention plans for individual students. Train necessary staff to implement Positive Behavior Intervention Plans.
