Job Description Summary: The Nurse, Registered, will implement, manage, and monitor health programs as defined by School Health Services and the Florida Nurse Practice Act. In addition, the registered nurse will oversee registered nursing students from school board approved agencies. SUPERVISORY EXPECTATIONS: Manage assigned clerical staff and subordinate professional personnel in one or more sections of the department. Take responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned teams. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district's policies and applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
