Job Description Sharon Middle School is seeking candidates for a school safety and student supervision role. This position is an 182-day role 7:15am - 2:15pm with two days - Monday and Fridays, 7:15 - 4:00 This role will provide supervision of large groups before school and during lunches. The role works with the office team to manage substitute coverages. This role will supervise students in in-school suspension and detention. The role will provide communication with teachers and school staff regarding student discipline issues. This position will also work with tech staff to manage student chromebook loaners. Job Description Qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work, Educational Counseling, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university. Previous counseling experience, preferably with adolescents. Skills necessary to provide individual/group counseling including: focus on significant teen social issues, ability to conduct individual/group assessment, knowledge required to provide information/resources to assist students in career planning, ability to consult with staff and outside professionals in educational, psychiatric, counseling, court, and other settings, ability to work with diverse populations, supervision skills, adherence to ethical/legal issues in counseling, ability to conduct research/evaluation, and knowledge of technology to assist individuals with scheduling and career planning.
