Job Description Reading and Math Tutor Transylvania County Schools is seeking tutors for Reading and/or Math. Tutors are needed for all of our elementary and middle schools. Position start date is January 2026, for the 2025-26 school year. Position is part-time ; $30/hour. These individuals will be working with individual and small groups of students on targeted instruction in reading and math. The ideal candidate should have teaching experience and knowledge of content areas, as well as a willingness to prepare students to succeed. Responsibilities include: preparation of materials for lessons, keeping data to show progress of students, and working closely with the classroom teacher.
