Job Description POSITION : Athletic Director w/ Teaching Duties SUMMARY : Work with high school and middle school principals to streamline corrective actions and maintain, organize and administer the overall program of interscholastic athletics. *** This position will be paired with up to a .5 FTE Teaching position (health education is preferred but not a requirement) Up to half the workday will be assigned to teaching duties. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Active Michigan teaching certificate required. Five years of successful experience as a teacher and coach preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer the middle school and high school athletic program which includes the supervision, hiring and evaluation of coaches as well as the scheduling, organization and supervision of athletic events.
