Job Description The interventionist performs a variety of services for the assigned school. This position intends to assist teachers directly in helping students develop proficient reading skills that will contribute to their academic growth. The interventionist will help recognize, address, and meet the needs of at-risk students in the general education classroom. Works extensively with students to help them improve specific reading skills such as letter-naming, initial sounds, phoneme segmentation, and comprehension strategies.
