Job Description Job Title: English Teacher (1.0 FTE) Reports To: Building Principal(s) Location: Howell High School (9-12) FLSA Status: Exempt Union Affiliation: Howell Education Association ("HEA") Duration : Ten months First scheduled teacher report day through last scheduled teacher report day of the school year Salary: Per HEA Master Agreement SUMMARY: The Teacher creates and sustains a community of learners through the development of a positive classroom and school culture, by holding rigorous and high expectations for students and by utilizing quality instructional practices matched to student learning needs. The Teacher continuously improves their practice through professional learning and collaboration with peers. The Teacher supervises students, develops and delivers lessons, utilizes established curriculum and maintains high levels of communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.
