Job Description NOTICE OF VACANCY INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY March 24, 2026 POSITION: CORE LEAD: MATHEMATICS 2026-2027 School Year LOCATION: HUNTINGTOWN HIGH SCHOOL JOB SUMMARY: The Mathematics Core Lead teaches three periods a day, one of which must be a Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) Course. The Core Lead assists other content-specific teachers in improving student learning in Algebra, Geometry, and foundational learning courses. It is an expectation of this position to team with other Core Leads in their building and across the school system; to collaborate with content-area supervisors, the principal, and the CCPS Local Accountability Coordinator in delivering high-quality instruction to students, well-designed job-embedded staff development to teachers, and intervention and remediation programs for struggling learners.
