Job Description POSITION TITLE: English Learner (EL) Tutor REPORTS TO: Director of Federal Programs BEGINNING DATE: Open Until Filled NATURE OF WORK : Part time, itinerant position. 18 hours per week. Personal vehicle required. To ensure that children who are Limited English Proficient (LEP), including immigrant children and youth, attain English proficiency, develop high levels of academic attainment in English and meet the same State academic content and student achievement standards of non-LEP children. To assist LEP students to 1) become proficient in the English language 2) participate meaningfully in the content area instruction in the mainstream classroom 3) and graduate from high school.
