Job Description QUALIFICATIONS: Valid NYS certification in Elementary (K-6) DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for instruction of early childhood curriculum. This includes creating a positive learning environment, developing long and short-range plans, implementing plans effectively, formative and summative assessment of student progress, and a number of administrative duties such as attendance, parent communication, etc. ESSENTIAL CORE CHARACTERISTICS: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Common Core Standards Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and curriculum development including planning, implementation and evaluation of materials, supplies and lessons.
