Job Description Exceptional Children (EC) School Health Assistant Reports to: Principal & School Nurse Term of Employment: 10 months Salary: School Health Assistant Salary Schedule FLSA Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-exempt Qualifications: • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license renewed per NC requirements **CNA II preferred • CPR certification is required Nature of Work: A school health assistant provides routine health services to exceptional students as directed by medical professionals via the school nurse. Detailed instructions are given to the employee. Problems, other than simple ones, are referred to school nurse.
