Job Description Reporting to the Director of Virginia Tech Electric Service (VTES), the Engineering Manager supervises and coordinates all engineering activities in support of the distribution of electricity on the VTES System on the Virginia Tech Campus and for VTES customers within the Town of Blacksburg. The Engineering Manager will promote reliable and safe operation of the VTES distribution system through identifying and engineering needed expansion and maintenance of the VTES system, development of appropriate procedures, support of routine and emergency maintenance, and monitoring and maintenance of a sound preventative maintenance program.
