Job Description Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Student Services and in collaboration with the building administrators, the Special Education Administrator will support and supervise special education intensive needs programs from kindergarten through age 21 for the Amherst and Amherst-Pelham Regional Public Schools. ARPS specialized intensive needs programs are for students who present with highly complicated learning profiles and educational needs that require a significant degree of program coordination and service. Students in these programs may have one or more disabilities in any of the following areas: Autism, Communication Impairment, Developmental Delay, Health Impairment, Intellectual Impairment, Neurological Impairment, Physical Impairment, Sensory Impairment, and / or Specific Learning Disabilities.
