Job Description POSITION: Day Care Program Manager JOB GOAL: To manage a safe and welcoming day care program at multiple sites in the Arlington Public Schools for the benefit of APS teachers and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: This person should demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with children, families, staff, and community members. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's or Bachelor's degree required. At least 5 years experience working in a daycare or childcare setting. Leadership/Management experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Demonstrated ability to manage and hire staff, maintain program budgets, and develop programming for staff and families; Demonstrated ability to adhere to regulations surrounding child care facilities and to establish and implement effective policies for child safety.
