Job Description District Mentor Teacher Position Type: Certified - Part Time POSITION PURPOSE: Part-time District Mentors support beginning teachers and assist them in developing strategies for classroom management, implementing instructional strategies, and using targeted assessment. District Mentors also support Induction teachers all aspects of their professional development by providing formal written feedback on areas of reinforcement and areas of refinement based on the SCTS 4.0 Rubric. Training will be provided for Part-time District Mentors on assignment, throughout the year, as they offer assistance and support for Induction teachers. Expresses either approximate or exact translation, depending upon the nature of the occasion. May specialize in a specific subject area. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reads and rewrites technical documents in specified language, following established rules pertaining to factors such as word meaning, sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and mechanics. Translates school document information such as free/reduced lunch information, immunization information and all pertinent information regarding school registration forms, including evaluation of student's previous school records.
