Job Description Title: Cafeteria (Non-Union) FUNCTION: Under the supervision of School Nutrition Director and Lead Cook: bakes, cooks and prepares a variety of food in quantity for both breakfast and lunch. SALARY: $20.76/hour SCHEDULE: 3.0 hours/day DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Kitchen duties for the typical cafeteria worker include prep and assembly of various hot and cold entrees (including pizza, burgers, hot & cold sandwiches, salads, fruits & vegetables) and other items as assigned by the Lead Cook. Alternative food items being prepared for sale to students must be prepared according to exact specifications, recipes or other directives from Lead Cook or School Nutrition Director (SND). Prep and cooking includes use of the following equipment: buffalo chopper, shredder, deli slicer and knives, convection and conventional ovens, steamers and kettles.
