Job Description The MDM and Lab Operations Specialist, reporting to the AAD Director of IT, will manage the college’s endpoint environment and provide hands-on technical support across the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design’s computer labs. This role combines endpoint and mobile device management â€" using Microsoft Intune, HCL BigFix, and JAMF â€" with direct operational support for student computing labs serving the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design. The specialist will serve as the college’s primary resource for device configuration, deployment, and compliance across managed platforms, while also maintaining physical lab environments to ensure hardware, software, and peripherals are operational and available for instructional use. Job Description Reporting to the Director of Virginia Tech Electric Service (VTES), the Engineering Manager supervises and coordinates all engineering activities in support of the distribution of electricity on the VTES System on the Virginia Tech Campus and for VTES customers within the Town of Blacksburg. The Engineering Manager will promote reliable and safe operation of the VTES distribution system through identifying and engineering needed expansion and maintenance of the VTES system, development of appropriate procedures, support of routine and emergency maintenance, and monitoring and maintenance of a sound preventative maintenance program.
