Job Description The Software Engineer position will design, develop and maintain ERP applications and integration solutions to support all aspects of NI&S operations to include business management systems, technology infrastructure management systems and automation solutions in a cloud based AWS environment. As a member of the Software Development team this position will support advanced network, communications, public safety, cable television, and data center services. This position will have a significant focus on network and systems automation and integration. Virginia Tech networks utilize multiple vendor routing, switching, and wireless technologies. The campus core and border consist of a sophisticated architecture that serves as the high-speed backbone for network services that meet the operational, academic, social, and research needs of over 33,000 students and 8,000 faculty/staff.
