Job Description The Brookline Public Schools are seeking an experienced, energetic, and collaborative teacher, who has experience in teaching Chemistry. This position is an anticipated open position at 0.8 FTE. At Brookline High, Physics is taught in 9th grade, Chemistry in 10th grade, and then Biology in 11th. Duties include but are not limited to: Teaching four classes (three first-year Chemistry classes; one first-year Physics class, curriculum provided) Demonstrating appropriate long and short term preparation for classroom instruction Organizing and using a variety of effective teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technologies to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings Continuously assessing student progress, providing students and parents with specific feedback, and using the results to adjust instruction as needed Providing opportunities for academic support and challenge Keeping current in the fields of...
