Job Description Job Description: The Brookline Public Schools are seeking an experienced, energetic, and collaborative teacher, who has experience in teaching Physics. This is a one-year position. At Brookline High, Physics is taught in 9th grade, Chemistry in 10th grade, and then Biology in 11th. Duties include but are not limited to: Teaching three classes of first-year physics Demonstrating appropriate long and short term preparation for classroom instruction Organizing and using a variety of effective teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technologies to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings Continuously assessing student progress, providing students and parents with specific feedback, and using the results to adjust instruction as needed Providing opportunities for academic support and challenge Keeping current in the field of Physics and in innovative teaching strategies and learning research...
