Job Description Description of Service Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic and committed educator with strong literacy and pedagogical knowledge, solid classroom management skills, a deep commitment to educational and racial equity, and experience working in an urban school setting. The CSUS literacy support interventionist will provide small group instruction to 6th and 7th grade students during WIN blocks, push-in to general education classrooms, and co-plan lessons with general education teachers as needed. The focus of this work will be on explicit vocabulary instruction, reinforcement of reading comprehension from Tier 1 texts, and support with writing skills and tasks. Minimum Requirements: Literacy intervention experience in the upper school grades (6-8)with a proven track record of promoting high achievement among all learners.
