Job Description Reports to: Director of Pupil Personnel Responsibilities: *Establishes effective screening procedures within district for the identification of students with speech and/or hearing issues and required screenings. *Evaluates students who have suspected or identified speech and/or hearing issues as referred by the classroom teacher district wide, outside referrals and transitioning students. *Provides speech and language therapy to those students as identified as needing such in accordance with the speech and hearing program adopted by the Board of Education criteria established by the Ohio Department of Education and National Organization of Speech Language Pathologists. *Cooperates with the school Principal and classroom teachers to assure an effectively coordinated speech/language intervention or therapy program in conjunction with regular classroom activities and other special services. *Compiles such individual reports for filing in students cumulative...

Provides instruction in the assigned subject in an atmosphere that implements the philosophies of the district, school and program. 2. Maintains an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. 3. Prepares and maintains a plan of classwork and procedures in order to assure that performance objectives and aims of instruction are being met. Organizes and structures materials for the most effective utilization of time. Plans lessons and implements activities that are congruent with the course of study and the entry level skills of students.
