Job Description School Nurse Full time position providing medical care as a health room sub and extra help as needed, bus route nurse, field trips and nursing program support. Must be flexible with hours and willing to cover all of the Shelby County School district. Based out of Chelsea Middle School/Nursing Services Offices. Qualifications: Hold a current Alabama License for Associate Degree in nursing (ADN), Bachelor's Degree in nursing (BSN), or Practical Nursing (LPN). Clinical nursing experience with school age children in the hospital, community health or pediatric clinic desired. Clinical nursing skills necessary to provide safe care to students with special health care needs. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with administration, nursing supervisor, faculty, parents and students.
