Job Description Family engagement is a critical component of school improvement, Title I schools are required to provide for family engagement in their quest to include parents and families as teachers, learners, decision makers, and advocates for improved student achievement. In accordance with the site-based decision-making process, Title I schools design and implement family engagement models that serve to connect the school, family, and community. All family engagement strategies must directly correlate with school improvement goals and objectives that serve to improve student achievement, promote attendance, increase parental involvement, and decrease delinquency. Detailed instructions are given for work to be done. The employee is expected to make simple adjustments as necessary with problems referred to higher level employees.
