Job Description JOB SUMMARY This is skilled, journeyman-level work in the painting of buildings, fixtures, signs, and equipment (on a commercial level) in the Culpeper County School System. Employee performs minor repairs as required. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Maintenance. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks: Prepares a variety of interior and exterior surfaces to be painted by scraping, caulking, stripping, sand blasting, power washing and spot priming; Mixes paints, stains, and varnishes; tints paints to customer specifications; Builds and tears down scaffolding as required; Applies paints on a variety of surfaces using standard methods, to include spray applications; Performs repairs to ceilings, windows and other areas associated to painting projects; Responds to emergency duty assignments when required; Maintains...
