Job Description JOB SUMMARY A specialist who evaluates and treats students with communication problems. The SLP is responsible for providing services, screening, and testing in the areas of articulation, language, fluency, and voice to children with speech and language impairments, autism, other health impairments, learning disabilities, cognitive impairments, and emotional disabilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks: Provide mass speech/language screening to all new to the county students entering CCPS; Provide speech and language evaluations and hearing screenings to students suspected of a disability; Participate in child-study and eligibility meetings; Develop appropriate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including appropriate goals (and objectives, if needed) for students with disabilities assigned to caseload; Provide speech therapy to students...
