Job Description 30 hours per week Initial hours of assignment: 8:00am - 2:30pm (Includes ½ hr. unpaid lunch) 10 months per school year Teacher Aides may be required to provide personal care to students including toileting. Lifting may be involved. Aides may be working in life skills classrooms, job coaching or with special needs students. Duties/Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with classroom teachers Flexibility to work with students and adults in different classrooms Takes initiative Helps teacher prepare and set up Reinforce lessons and provide students assistance Enforce classroom rules Enforce school rules outside the classroom, which may include bus duty and cafeteria duty Help to meet the needs of all students Work in several classrooms throughout the day Other responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.
