Job Description Library Assistant Position Purpose Under the direct supervision of a certified library media specialist, to assist students and employees in the effective use of library materials and services in the high school media center. To acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities to take full advantage of library materials and resources. To perform everyday tasks, processes, and related duties in the library. Essential Functions Assists students in locating reference and other instructional materials, and in developing knowledge, skill and abilities to gain independence and fully utilize the library materials and resources.
