Job Description The primary function of the Guidance Counselor is to provide a comprehensive competency-based counseling program focused on the learning, personal/social and career/vocational needs of all students. Under the direction of the Principal or their designee, the Guidance Counselor shall adhere to national, state, and local statutes, policies, and regulations regarding counseling and assist students in the development of social emotional skills and developmental assets. The Guidance Counselor is responsible for the supervision of all students within their assignment, is committed to the Atlantis Charter School Board of Trustees policies regarding equity, human rights and cross cultural understanding and reports directly to the Principal or their designee.
