Job Description JOB GOALS: To provide preventive and responsive health care to corporation students and staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Conduct school health screenings, make appropriate referrals, and submit health reports as required by Indiana law. Observe evidence based clinical guidelines as established by the National Association of School Nurses. Follow Indiana nurse practice acts. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) professional standards. Maintain standing orders and protocols in conjunction with local physicians. Uphold procedures for the prevention and control of communicable diseases in the School Corporation.
