Job Description Job Summary : The High School Social Studies Teacher inspires students to become informed, active citizens. The role fosters a deep understanding of historical events, economic principles, geographic patterns, and democratic governance while developing students' critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning skills. This position involves teaching various levels of Social Studies (grades 9-12) aligned with the Michigan High School Content Expectations (HSCE). Qualifications : Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education, History, Political Science, or a related field from an accredited institution. Certification: Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with a Social Studies (RX) endorsement for grades 6-12 (or 9-12).
