Job Description POSITION PURPOSE: Beaufort County School District seeks certified persons to serve as tutors. To provide intensive and extensive tutorial services for identified students to develop successful academic skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides academic assistance to assigned students, either in a group setting or one-on-one, as directed by the classroom teacher. Collaborates with the classroom teacher to assess selected students and develop effective methods of tutorial service delivery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Accurately interprets spoken and signed messages without censorship for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, classmates, educational staff and others involved in the educational setting. Participates in educational team meetings. Provides interpreting for other activities during the regularly scheduled school day as needed (i.e. field trips, IEP meetings, etc.).
