Job Description The Special Education Teacher is responsible for delivering the instructional program as outlined in a student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and for carrying out all planning, supervision, and assessment of students in accord with the states' regulations and the school's mission, policies and practices. Responsibilities: -Provide the instructional program for students to reflect the goals of students' IEPs. -Ensure sufficient instructional time, consistent discipline practices, and integration with the support and enrichment curriculum instruction. -Participate in the monthly RTI (Response to Intervention) meetings for assigned grade levels. -Meet weekly with grade-level classroom teachers to plan modifications of curriculum. -Complete all required documentation as required by law or by school administration. -Supervise a paraprofessional, if assigned, by assigning relevant tasks and instructional responsibilities commensurate with experience and...
