Job Description JOB TITLE: School Nutrition 5-Hour Worker IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: School Nutrition Manager GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The position is responsible for the preparation and service of school meals and sanitation of the meal preparation and service areas. The position works 184 days per year, coinciding with the school instructional calendar. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepares, cooks and serves meats, breads, vegetables and other food in accordance with the menu. Prepares and serves fruits, desserts, salads, soups and other foods. May be assigned to one specific food preparation area or rotated through the full range of food services. Washes pots, pans, kettles and other cooking utensils.
