Job Description ST. CLAIR COUNTY TECHNICAL EDUCATION CENTER WELDING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARY The Instructional Technician functions as a member of the instructional team under the direction of the Instructor. They provide support services for students to assist them in overcoming barriers to learning. QUALIFICATIONS 4,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience in welding technology. American Welding Society (AWS) certification preferred. Related Associate's degree preferred. ACT/WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate-Gold Level preferred. Must be physically able to perform the duties and tasks of a welder, including being able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
