Special Education Paraeducator - Autism Spectrum Disorder Classroom

Job Description Position: Paraeducator in Autism Spectrum Disorder Classroom Location: High School Terms of Employment: Monday - Friday 6.75 hours per day School days only Qualifications: 1. High School Graduate 2. Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs. Responsibilities: 1. Provide assistance with toileting. 2. Assist students with medical needs including, but not limited to, diastat and CPR (will provide training). 3. Needs CPI training (will provide if necessary). 4. Some supervision outside and inside the classroom. 5. Ability to transport students with school vehicles at different events throughout the year. Ability to obtain chauffeur license. 6. Have the ability to work positively with students, teachers and parents. 7. Excellent communication skills. 8. Experience working with secondary school students preferred. 9. Willingness to work as part of a team of professionals. 10. Other duties as assigned by the building principal.
