Job Description Summary of Position: The Grade 7 math teacher (leave coverage: Late January 2026 - June 2026) fosters a dynamic and inclusive learning environment focused on innovative teaching practices and student engagement. The individual is also expected to actively support students, create a positive classroom environment, and adjust teaching methods to support diverse learning styles as needed. This position primarily involves instructing courses in pre-algebra and algebra, providing students with the following mathematical skills and habits of mind: computational fluency and conceptual understanding, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration. Units include: rational numbers, geometry, and probability. This role requires the development and ongoing review of curriculum and course materials.
