Job Description The English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher (sometimes referred to as English as a Second Language Teacher) is passionate about helping our English Language Learners (ELL) become proficient in the English language and be able to access their grade-level curriculum. The ENLT teacher holds primary responsibility for implementing ENL instruction in addition to other general education or special education instruction. Specific responsibilities English Language Learning Responsibilities : Evaluate (using diagnostic and state mandated assessments of English Language Learners), determine goals for, and track progress of individual English language learners Provide direct ENL instruction to small groups of students and/or provide inclusion support for ELA classes containing ELL students, based on case load.
