Job Description Special Education Behavior Technician Primarily at Creekside Learning Center 187 Day Schedule Non-union, at-will, service personnel position POSITION SUMMARY: Behavior Technicians work under the supervision of Intervention/Behavior Specialists and School Social Workers. Behavior Technicians provide support to a specific student within the student's assigned classroom or program. The support provided by this position is to facilitate implementation of a student's Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and assist the student in learning more socially acceptable behaviors. Behavior Technicians will model for district staff the implementation of specifically identified interventions. They will provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff, with the intent to decrease this level of support and move to gradual release of responsibility for BIP implementation to building and district staff.
