Job Description POSITION TITLE: Exceptional Children Teacher-Adaptive Curriculum REPORTS TO: Principal BEGINNING DATE: Open Until Filled PURPOSE: The Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher Adaptive Curriculum provides specially designed instruction, behavioral support, functional life skills instruction, and individualized educational programming to students with significant cognitive disabilities and other disabilities requiring an adaptive curriculum as identified through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. The teacher develops and implements instructional programs emphasizing communication, functional academics, independent living skills, vocational preparation, community participation, and transition services while maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
