Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Speech & Language Therapist FLSA Status: Exempt Days of Work: 190 GENERAL SUMMARY Under general supervision, administers and coordinates diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative functions related to speech and language impairment; conducts screenings, provides therapy for qualified students who need speech and language services. Participates in Individual Education Plan(IEP) meetings and initiates IEPs for qualified students. Maintains Strict confidentiality concerning students and their families. Reports to the Director of Special Services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.) Conducts and interprets evaluations for students with special attention to receptive and expressive language skills, speech fluency, vocal and oral motor competence and articulation and auditory skills as required by law.
