Job Description Classification Title: School Secretary (200 Days) Pay Grade: Secretary (C3) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Supervisor: Principal GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB The individual in this position is responsible for performing intermediate clerical and responsible technical work requiring a qualified typist; prepares and maintains fiscal and related records; does related work as required. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Functions: Serves as primary clerical support to the School Principal and staff. Serves primarily as the school's attendance clerk, receptionist, and telephone operator. Prepares and maintains a variety of files and records. Assists students and parents. Types letters, memos, reports, bulletins, requisitions, invoices, schedules, manuals, student files and records; answers telephone, processes mail, meets the public and provides information.
